2019 JOB ANNOUNCEMENT -  Tour Guide       

The Conrad Mansion Museum is seeking seasonal tour guides to work part-time, Tuesday through Sunday, 9:30 – 5:30 p.m. Weekend work required.

Wages: minimum wage  

Application deadline: May 31, 2019 or until filled

Anticipated start date: Mid-May, 2019 (negotiable for high school students)

Job Description: Guides, dressed in appropriate period attire, conduct scripted tours of the Conrad Mansion Museum for groups of adults and children, work in the Gift Shop and provide light house cleaning (dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, cleaning restrooms, etc.)  

Physical demands: Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs., stoop, stand for 1-1.25 hours at a time, walk, and climb stairs and ladders.

1. Submit an application form, which may be downloaded using this link, or picked up at the Museum during business hours. Incomplete submissions may not be considered. Return form to the Museum in person.

2. After screening, applicants meeting qualifications will be invited to meet with Museum personnel and receive a copy of the script.  

3. Prior to an offer of employment, the applicant must learn the 23 page script and provide a tour to Conrad Mansion Museum personnel to determine readiness. (Note: These steps of the application process are uncompensated.) If the applicant is successful, an offer of employment will be made.  


The Conrad Mansion Museum typically needs volunteers for our special events throughout the year, including Christmas events, Fourth of July Ice Cream Social, Death By Chocolate Murder Mystery and Parades.  Volunteers also help with office work, fundraising, yard work, and cleaning.
